We would give Ms. Elaine at Sunset Acres Kennels 10 stars if it were possible! We recently flew to Kansas City to pick up our Teddy and the entire process from start to finish was fantastic. Ms. Elaine was detailed and communicative yet easy going - no stress or over complications. Ms. Elaine met us in Belton so we could pick Teddy up without having to drive too far and presented us with his "puppy book" which had clear instructions on puppy care, his pedigree, his parents' information etc. It was very impressive and informative. Now onto Teddy, our adorable toy poodle. He is a dream. A spunky little guy with fantastic temperament. He always just wants to do what you're doing. Want to play? He'll chase the ball until he's all chased out. Want to nap? he'll curl up with you for hours. Elaine was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is kind, honest, and full of integrity, and her puppies come pre-loved. My female toy poodle was born 1/17/25. I got her 4/8/25 via cargo shipping to Columbus, Ohio. I'll be honest, I've never purchased an animal from out of state, so I was pretty nervous. But my girl arrived safely. She smelled amazing and was freshly groomed. Prior to receiving my girl, I received a puppy care package. This included a puppy book filled with puppy pictures, vaccination records, vet records, parent certifications, pedigree, puppy care instructions, and more. Also in the package was dog food, treats, a collar, a leash, and a blanket with her sibling's scent. I've had Daisy for 3 weeks now. She is healthy and checked out great with my vet. THIS is the place to buy your next puppy! First let me say that I've been involved with purebred dogs for over 50 years, so I have very exacting standards for people who breed and show dogs. But where Elaine Craig and her poodle puppies are concerned --- well I just can NOT praise her enough. She is a wonderful woman, and her dogs are just lovely. I love that her dogs are all health tested and are such happy little souls. And I love that I got a complete binder of information about the puppy I bought. I bought an absolutely beautiful black female toy poodle puppy from her and I couldn't be happier. The puppy was in excellent condition when I went to pick her up, and was extremely well-adjusted (not nervous and crazy like so many toy poodles are). She house trained very quickly, and she learns new commands and tricks in a heartbeat. She is just an absolute delight to live with and we're planning on buying another puppy from Elaine in the future. So before you buy a puppy anywhere else you owe it to yourself to call Elaine first. Her puppies are beautiful. I had put a deposit on one of the puppies. When I explained I was too ill to care for a puppy, Elaine immediately without me asking refunded my deposit. She was such a joy to work with. Her dogs are absolutely gorgeous and I was so excited to get not 1 but 2 beautiful red poodles from her. She went out of her way to make sure I would get my puppies on time. When I received my babies they were more beautiful then I could imagine. Not only were they microchipred but Elaine included a puppy book for each of them with pictures and all their information. She also sent along with each puppy toys, chewes, blankets, wee wee pads and so much more that I wasn't even expecting. My experience with Elaine was excellent. She made me feel confident about the whole process. I will definitely be getting another poodle from her in the near future. Please feel secure. He was potty trained when I got him he used a P pad every time we never had any accidents. He has the most personality of any little fella I’ve ever owned. He is exceptionally smart. We took him to a show when he was six months and two days old. After three days at the show, we brought home a champion. The judges absolutely loved him. I don’t think I could be any happier. If you’re looking for a puppy, go talk to Elaine. She is honest and trustworthy. The first Puppy I was gonna get was going to go over size so instead she said we’ll just hold off and we’ll see what’s in the next litter!!! You can’t get much more honest than that.
